The nurse removed 25 staples from my head during the 3rd week in hospital. The nurse came into my ward as I was lying in my bed.  It was painstaking work for the nurse and it hurt a little bit for me (depending on where the staples were).  It took the nurse about an hour to remove them.  I was meant to keep very still while she put the pincers in to remove the staples.  The nurse removed the rest (another 25 staples) a few days later. I was so relieved that I had one more medical procedure out of the way....
